The Promise That Is Yours

You prayed a prayer that you wanted no one else to hear. It was a prayer for something you believe you needed for yourself, or to help a dear friend or loved one. Now you are waiting for evidence that God heard you. Instead of waiting for that evidence, let your faith guide your response — begin to rejoice with expectation, for God will not withhold from you that which you need. Your faith will shorten your wait and help you move from day to day with great expectations. Remember that God made a promise to Abraham regarding Canaan. The promise was given to Abraham, but Moses led the Israelites toward it, and Joshua was the one who led them into the promised land. In your own life, see yourself as Abraham, the one with the promise, and know that your Moses and your Joshua are somewhere around you, waiting for their assignment. The promise will be fulfilled. Don't fret, don't cry — just believe in faith. Good things are about to happen. Amen.

Genesis 13:15-17 — "All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."
